I attached a picture of our district before we get transfer calls and everybody leaves. Our district consists of both our Zone leaders, both of our zone's sister training leaders. the CES sisters, Our district leader (my companion to the right of me) and then big ol' me
This past week has been hot, really hot. I don't know how many times I thought about how good it would feel to go swimming, haha A member of a different ward was kind enough to give us a window A/C unit for our apartment. We are so grateful to now live in a giant refrigerator :)
Nothing too overly exciting happened this week, our baptism is still on for this Saturday, which is exciting. Because we didn't have much happen, I'll mention a few things that happened to missionaries in our zone.
One of the sister missionaries from China went with her companion to visit with some members that had just moved into their ward. While talking to the father, they learned that he had served his mission in China. More conversation led to the discovery that not only did he serve in China, he also served in her hometown. Even better, they found out that he was the missionary that had baptized her dad. Cool story, she was very excited
An elder who goes home next week was given a longboard from one of their investigators. ( I just thought it was cool)
A recent convert wrote a letter to President Uchtdorf several months ago inviting him to his baptism. Last week he got a letter signed by President Uchtdorf apologizing that he couldn't make it and congratulating him for his decision to join the church.
Attached to this email, is just one of the reasons why members should start paying more tithing. (the slips obviously haven't been touched in a while)

So weird, I just realized that I left out a couple things in my group email. It wasn't as uneventful as I was thinking. The first thing is that we actually have a new (potential) investigator! We'll be meeting with her this week. She apparently wants to be baptized and her sister is a member here in Pullman. Awesome! We hope it works out. Her husband will be coming up from Texas sometime soon and so we'll be able to teach both of them.
The other thing was something that happened to us and the Elders across the street.
On Friday night Elder Marsh woke me up saying, "There's someone at the door" He was sitting up in his bed staring into the living room. I sat up and listened. The doorbell was ringing over and over again. I asked Elder Marsh what time it was. It was 2:00 in the morning, The ringing stopped and then we heard the doorknob start to turn. Luckily we had locked the deadbolt before we went to sleep so the door couldn't open. There was a pause of silence and the doorbell started to ring again. We both just sat there frozen because we didn't know what to do. The ringing stopped again and everything got really quiet. We were up for a while double checking all the windows and locking the doorknob. I had to push the door all the way closed because it was slightly open.
We woke up the next morning to our phone ringing. Elder Lu, (who lives a block away) was on the phone. We answered and the first thing he said was, "Do you wanna know what happened last night?!"
Apparently, on Friday night one of the single ward's members was out drinking with his friends and they had left him at the nearby bar by himself. He first came to our apartment and tried to wake us up. After we didn't answer to door, he made his way to the other Elder's apartment where he threw rocks at their window until they woke up. They said that after he saw them look through the window he got excited and ran upstairs and started knocking on their door. They said that he was freaking out and telling them that he had no idea where he was.
They decided that they needed to drive him home so he didn't get himself hurt. In the car, He started telling them that he was concerned about Elder Marsh and I because we didn't open our door. At one point in the car, he started saying things like, "Who are you guys! I don't know who you guys are!" They kept trying to tell him who they were and he said, "Screw that, I'm outta here!" And he opened the door. They slammed on the brakes and he took off running.
They had to chase him down. And he kept saying, "I don't know you, get away!" Then they said "It's the missionary's"
He ran up them and gave them a big hug telling how excited he was to see them. They walked him back to his apartment.
We met with him at the institute building the next day. He had no idea what happened. Even though he thought that the whole thing was hilarious (in some ways it was) He apologized and is going to take the four of us out for lunch next p-day.
Yup so the other Elder's had a crazier night than us, but we were definitely a lot more scared since we didn't know what was going on.

We were taking refuge from a storm under the pavillion of the WSU visitor center with some other Elders. We had a lot of fun taking pictures in this big lighted pillar thing. (in hindsight we probably shouldn't have done it during a lightning storm)
