Well we got transfer calls last night. I was a little surprised because I thought for sure I was going to be staying. I'm being transferred up to Hayden in the Dalton Gardens ward.
It is significantly smaller than any area I've had. and is definitely going to be very different than St. Maries. My new companion is going to be Elder Rasmussen.
It's kind of is a shame that i'm leaving. This last week we made a little bit of progress with an investigator and we even picked up a new one who was super interested.
Every Sunday we take the sacrament to an older member of the ward who is bed ridden. This last Sunday we decided to talk to the caregiver that lives in the house. She was really interested in The Book of Mormon and agreed to take the missionary lessons from us next time we brought the sacrament up. It was kind of exciting and we wish that we had talked to her sooner.
ANother one of our investigators was this guy that lives next door to an inactive member that we visit. Our first couple visits, we thought for sure that he was at least 20 or 21. But we were talking to the member and he mentioned something about being in school. We said, "Oh he's in school? Where does he go?"
"He goes to the high school with Jeremy! I drive them together every morning"
It turned out that he is 17. He lives with his girlfriend who is 18, her sister who is 19 with her sister's boyfriend who is 20. It's kind of interesting but he is a great guy and wants to learn.
Well, that's about it for the week! I guess next time ill be emailing from somewhere else!
